Schools closed on February 4 for Shab-e-Barat

The Sindh government has officially announced a one-day holiday for all public and private schools across the province on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in connection with Shab-e-Barat. (Schools closed on February 4)

The announcement was made through a formal notification issued on January 30 by the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh. As per the notification, the holiday will be observed by all educational institutions working under the administrative control of the Sindh government, including both public and private schools.

Authorities have been instructed to ensure complete implementation of the order and to circulate the notification to all schools in a timely manner.

Shab-e-Barat, observed on the 15th of Shaban, is an important religious occasion for Muslims and is marked by prayers, reflection, and other devotional activities.

Parents, students, and school administrations are advised to plan accordingly, as regular academic activities will resume after the holiday.
